Synopsis Michael McGarrigle gave up work as an engineer to follow a dream. He sold everything he owned to spend the next 3 years travelling the planet. By chance, just before his departure, a BBC television producer heard Michael on the radio and gave him a camera to take on his travels.
He recorded his exploits from the Antartic to the Gulf of Mexico, Australia, South East Asia, China, Tibet, Afghanistan and back to Europe. He's been mugged, robbed, hospitalised and imprisoned. He's also seen some unforgettable sights. He's visited primeval forests in Tasmania, worked as a jackaroo in the Australian outback and watched Komodo dragons feasting on ox in Indonesia. Michael’s on his own out there and you feel it. You really feel you’re sitting on his shoulder. A pioneering new type of travel series.
