Synopsis

Christian Karembeu, the famous French footballer, takes us on a journey of genuine exploration to discover six of the most beautiful islands in the world - The Marquesas Islands, Mayotte, New Caledonia, Sumba, Haida Gwai and La Reunion. An epic adventure full of tenderness recounting the story of nature and culture through the lens of tradition.

He meets men and women whose knowledge, handed down through the generations, brings these places to life and lends them all their authenticity.

He highlights the many things that we can learn from this age-old know-how, this way of relating to others and to nature - where it is perceived not as an enemy but as a partner to negotiate and cooperate with.

We see that there is something in this communion between men and the elements that we have forgotten and now need to learn anew.
