Synopsis

Debbie had been married to her husband John for 11 years when one morning he jumped in front of a tube train. Nothing could have prepared Debbie for the shock of hearing that he was dead. Focusing on one event that’s touched many lives, this film tells the human story of a ONE UNDER.

Uncovering the ripples that spread fast and wide from that one short moment in time, we explore the impact on the lives of those closest to John; the friends and family left behind, the colleagues who learnt why he wasn’t coming to work; commuters at the station; and staff who have to deal with the practicalities. Hearing from a range of voices with direct experiences of ‘one unders’ we get a glimpse of the effect of that moment on those who are unwittingly at the heart of it.
